Se fosse carburante che trafila dai serbatoi, sarebbe sostanza liquida e tenderebbe a precipitare, senza restare in aria per il tempo definito dalla lunghezza stessa delle scie (... e poi, soprattutto, sarebbe troppo!!).
Se fossero dei caccia colpiti, le scie terminerebbero a mare.
Inoltre vorrei ricordare che la didascalia ufficiale della foto, così come l’ha riportata Tommasso, dice:
